IT ALL STARTED IN APRIL OF 2017
Michael launched, Rekola Studios, with a focus on producing industrial video projects for businesses in and around the metro Washington, DC area that are delivered on time & on budget to rave reviews, every time.
Michael first gained video production experience working in the US House of Representatives for various committees and members of leadership. After leaving the Hill in 2015, Michael became the first Communications Director for Mark Zuckerberg’s non-profit FWD.us. Michael’s mandate was to stand up and create a full service professional communications staff that could deliver fully executed social awareness campaigns facilitated through eye catching digital media. Michael’s success in digital media campaigns yielded over 5 million views per annum.
Then in April 2017, Michael struck out on his own and founded Rekola Studios realizing that Washington, DC had a void in quality video production delivered at a reasonable rate. Favoring transparency Michael works with his clients to find cost savings in video production that never jeopardize quality or message.
His philosophy is simple — media is changing, let’s ride the wave rather than resist the rising tides. We think films and digital media content should be led by creators who are given realistic budgets that can properly protect investments while providing the vast creative control to our storytellers. The old rules only bind those who follow them.
Each project, whether a commissioned video, industrial project, or feature film, we uncover the intended audience — the viewer — and deliver. In the simplest terms — our passions define us and at our core, we want to tell great stories — your story!
If you have a project on the horizon — reach out! We’ve delivered every project: on time & on budget, with five star reviews across the board.
